After months of hard training and endless miles, the wait was finally over today when our club members lined up,to begin, for many, their first Dublin City Marathon. First home for the club in a great time of 2.49.09 was Farmer Monaghan and the first Lady home for the club was Julie Kirwan in 3.23.33.
Special mention goes to Marie Chapman who today ran her 100th Marathon and to Mag Sludds who ran her 20th Marathon today.
Well done to everyone, rest up and enjoy the recovery.
The Marathon Presentations will take place tomorrow evening, Tuesday 27th October in the Back Lounge in Donohoes Pub and all are welcome to attend.
