Congratulations to Dave Barron who finished second in the Wexford Half Marathon on 21st April. He was first Wexford man home winning gold in the county half marathon championships.
The Quay in Wexford was the starting point for the Wexford ½
Marathon & 10k race, Race winner was Ruairi O Donnell from Ferrybank AC,
Slaney Olympics’ David Barron ran a great race in a time of 1.16.43, coming in
2nd place just 5 seconds clear of Tommy McElwain in 3rd place. David secured
his gold medal in the County Wexford Half Marathon Championship. Jason o’
Connor finished in 5th place in a time of 1.19 and taking bronze in the County
Half Marathon Championship.
Sabina Sweeney
continued her flying form & was the first Slaney woman to cross the finish
line in a time of 1.48.
The 10k race saw some
very fast times achieved, Mick Jordon stormed home in 38.04 & was first
club man home
