The third race of the winter league was run on yet another cold, frosty morning on Sunday with only the hardy and the brave making it to the startline.
Farmer made the early running with Jim, Mick J and Kevin in hot pursuit as they rounded the bend onto the Old Dublin Road. The hardest partof the course was the uphill run on the N11 and by the time they rounded the final corner heading for the finish just past Power Plant Hire the battle for first place was between Jim and Mick…all graphically illustrated by the photos in the Gallery. Despite Mick’s valient efforts it was the older man who held off the challenge to win by the narrowest of margins. Farmer finished third with Kevin fourth. Well done too to Niall, Mag, Seamus and Donie who all recorded good times on such a cold and frosty morning.
