All roads let to Butterfly Farm outside Camolin tonight for the Summer League Trail Race hosted by Vanessa McShane,  last year was the inaugural trail race for the Summer League and this years race was even more challenging for those brave enough to try it out.  The trail brought runners up to the summit of Mt Shrule and back down again on a looped course consisting of fireroads, forestry and trail routes.  A scenic enjoyable course with plenty of ups and down!

Race winner was Slaney Olympics Enda Cloke in 23.56 and first Slaney man home was Billy Reck in 25.12, Ciara Bowe from SBR was first lady down the hill in 31.47 and Sarah Walsh put in a very strong finish to come home second  and first Slaney lady in 34.01.  Spot prizes winners were Jimbob Dempsey and Alma Grannell.

Next Summer League race is Friday 11 August in Camross, distance is 7k with registration and parking at the Ballroom in Camross.  Race Directors are Lar and Bridget Doyle.
