Well after months of training, long runs and many sacrifices, the Dublin City Marathon is over for another year. Slaney Olympic was the 3rd biggest club to take part this year and what a field of runners we had.
First man home for the club in a blistering time of 2.41.29 was Conail Cooper who appeared to be in cruise control and unstoppable at the 24 mile marker.
First lady home for Slaney was Julie Kirwan who ran a cracker of a race in a brilliant time of 3.08.29, and was all smiles and looked very comfortable.
Congratulations to everyone who took part today, you are now a part of a rare bunch of people who can say they’ve ran a marathon.
