The Slaney Olympic Winter League fnished up last Tuesday evening and the winners were announced at an end of league function and prize giving on Friday night in The Bailey. The winners had to run at least 4 of the league races .
Jane Porter took the winning lady’s title, with Annis Kehoe in 2nd Place, and Danielle Dempsey in 3rd. New club member Des Kileen scooped frist prize in the men’s event, Declan O’Brien was 2nd and Bega Elkeky in 3rd place.
The league proved to be a great success with over 60 individual runners taking park and everyone’s times improving each week. A big thanks to organisers Siobhan O’Shea, Mag Dunphy, Martina O’ Sullivan and to all who helped out in any way.
