Club members were well represented in last week’s Dublin City Marathon. First Slaney Olympian across the line was Edward White in a time of 3.08.10. Mag Dunphy was first lady from the club in 4.08.10. At the prize giving night last Tuesday Edward was presented with the John Corrigan trophy and Mag received the Theresa Cash trophy.
Paul Brown was second home in 3.17.11 with Maurice Whitty third in 3.19.56. Both Maurice and Mag had run in the Chicago marathon just three weeks previously. Second lady home was Dawn Whelan in 4.11.26. Special mention must go to Kay O’Regan who was third club lady in 4.23.08. Kay won Gold Medal in Womens 75 and broke W75 Dublin Course Record by 27 minutes which stood at 4.50 by a Swedish Woman, she already has the W60,65 & 70 to date both for Dublin and Irish Marathon Records.
