Dominic Ryan of SBR won the day in the Kilbrannish Trail Race on Sunday but he was hotly pursued by a whole host of Slaney Olympic men.

Dominic, who is just returning from injury only decided to run the race after breakfast on Sunday morning! He lead the race from the off but Farmer was never far behind and also ran a great race taking nearly half a minute off his last year’s time. Bobby Redmond finished third. In a great show from the club nine of the first eleven home were from Slaney Olympic.

First lady home was Noelle Cullimore from Wexford  with our own Gretta taking second place. Dick Boland of United Striders was first over 50. Well done to the three US lads for making the journey up from New Ross. But they came from even further afield with three dutchmen in the field. Jim Boland was first over 60 despite complaining of a sore knee!
